Pursuant to Chapter 131, Section 40 MGL, the Tolland Conservation Commission held public hearings March 31, 2016, beginning at 5:30 PM at Tolland Town Hall, 241 West Granville Rd, Tolland, MA

RDA- Submitted by WPOA. Applicant seeks to install a tight tank at Lakeside Beach within the buffer zone of Cranberry Pond. . System designed by Berkshire Engineering. In placing tank, an existing boat rack will need to be moved. Alan Binder recused himself from the vote.RDA-2016-01 Unanimous vote of negative determination.
RDA -Submitted WPOA. Applicant seeks to replace 3 docks on Cranberry Pond and one replacement and one dock repair on Otter Pond. Also wish to remove a clump of birch trees on Fox Den Beach that are falling into Cranberry Pond. . Okay to cut birch tree leaning over pond. Dock will rest on blocks/rocks. Docks (5’X12’)to be built in shop and then moved to site after drawdown. On other site, barrels to be removed and replaced with posts. Damaged board will be replaced on deck Small brush is maintenance and is not covered by RDA. Alan Binder recused himself from the vote. RDA-2016-02 Unanimous vote of negative determination.
RDA- Submitted by Chip Fisher of 185 Land’s End Drive. Applicant seeks to remove one pine tree and repair a stonewall within the buffer zone of Otis Reservoir. Tree okay to be removed, but must be replaced with a five gallon conifer. For the wall, a silt fence must be placed between work area and water.. RDA-2016-03 Unanimous vote of negative determination.
